VINCENT LEBBE

A visionary and dedicated figure, Vincent Lebbe (1877-1940) devoted his life to the Chinese Church and the emancipation of its people, fighting against colonial interference and advocating for an autonomous local Church. Taking Chinese nationality under the name Lei Ming Yuan – "The Thunder that Sings from Afar" – he became a true national hero, leaving behind a legacy that remains alive today.
